E.A.S.T. is a project Funded by the Erasmus+ Programme. The project aspires to create more opportunities for youth in education and employment according to the competences of youth involved, to address the challenge of youth unemployment through strengthening the links between the youth sector and the training needs of the labour market, promoting education to self-employment, providing educational opportunities and empowerment for youth on the subject of training in the field of Eu project planning within the themes of environment, sustainable development and green jobs...

The Oslo International Acting Festival in Norway.

From 4th to 7th June 2018, FOPSIM representatives together with Anthony Ellul and Karen Magro, the two actors who acted in the play Moving Mountains, produced as part of the EU Collective Plays project, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme and performed at Spazju Kreattiv on 26-28/01/2018,will be attending The Oslo International Acting Festival (OIAF) in Norway.

Integration and Arts

On the 25th of May 2018, FOPSIM organised a training event on the role that arts play in the integration of Migrant people into a foreign society and more specifically into the Maltese society. The event took part in Mosta and it forms part of the activities of the Risk Change project.

Final international partners meeting in Porto, Portugal 6 - 8 April 2018

The Foundation for Social Inclusion in Malta (FOPSIM) is the Maltese partner in the NECME project. The project aims to stimulate among civil society, in synergy with institutions involved in integration process, a more active role in promoting active citizenship of migrants, starting from the analysis of inclusion difficulties and the role of human beings trafficking and its links with international organized crime.

Risk Change: exchanging art and artists cross Europe

Risk Change is an European project that started in 2016 which aims to create, connect, compare, disseminate and promote contemporary EU interdisciplinary art related to social studies and migration.

New forms of European citizenship in migration era" NECME Project

Part of the European project NECME "New forms of European citizenship in migration era", Foundation for the Promotion of Social Inclusion in Malta (FOPSIM) organised on 26th February 2018 the conference that took place at the Grand Hotel Excelsior Malta. NECME project, funded under the Europe for Citizens programme of the European Union, involves 17 Civil society organisations from 16 different countries.

DIYPES kick off meeting in Romania

On the 27 & 28 of February, partners from 6 different countries: Romania, Slovenia, Denmark, Albania, Italy and Malta met for the first time in Cluj-Napoca in Romania for the DIYPES project kick off meeting.

EAST - Press Release

FOPSIM is partner organisation in EAST project, the consortium of which is composed by EURO, an Italian Research Centre, Promotion and EU Initiative as oordinator, along with partner organisations from Romania (Curba de Cultura), Croatia (TZG Jastrebarskog) and 2 other Italian associations, ORSA and Nuovo Ateneo, has been successful in gaining Erasmus+ funding for this project in the Youth Education sector.

Working Roma Study Visit and Partners Meeting in Novo Mesto, Slovenia

On the 23rd and 24th of May 2017, FOPSIM attended the study visit and partners meeting for the Working Roma - Stop Labour Discrimination of Roma in Europe - project in Novo Mesto, Slovenia.

DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION IN ACTION

Key Conclusions from the Intercultural Dialogue Seminar 1

As part of the Working Roma project, FOPSIM and Migrant Women Association Malta organised an Intercultural dialogue seminar for Minorities in Malta. The main objective of the seminar was to discuss topics on Discrimination and to empower minorities for their socio-professional integration.
